According to the Wolhers Report, it took 20 years for additive manufacturing to reach a revenue of $1 billion, and in the five years aafter the early 20 years, the industry generated its second $1 billion in revenue.

In the last 10 years (2011-2020), the industry has grown by more than $11 billion. By 2020, the revenue of the industry will reach close to $12.8 billion; it is expected to increase by more than 3.5 times to $47 billion by 2026 and increase by around 9 times to $115 billion by 2030.

The additive manufacturing market is maintaining a high growth rate.
The industry is set to expand further in recent years as more companies are in transition to produce products applying additive manufacturing. Aerospace, medical/dental devices and some consumer products uses additive manufacturing for mass production, which will contribute to further growth of the industry. Improved methods of post-processing automation will also help companies to expand additive manufacturing to new levels.

Metal Additive Technology will greatly improve the productivity in the entire manufacturing industry, and it will be deeply integrated with all industries and production scenarios, thus creating a technological revolution in the development of the productive force.

BLT started to apply metal additive manufacturing technology for mass production in 2013, and has continued to develop and practice it for many years. We have seen its development progress in the aerospace industry who cautiously experimented on it at the beginning and then the designers and craftspeople recognized the significant value that metal additive could bring, embracing the new technology on their own initiative and expanding the application range, which was a meaningful and exciting exploration.

At present, Through a number of measures such as R&D investment, technology maturation and cost reduction, metal additive manufacturing technology has been gradually expanded from aerospace to other fields like medical, mold, automotive, petrochemical and even consumer electronics. Owing to using the metal additive manufacturing technology, countless new fields and applications have improved performance, optimized functions, shortened delivery times, accelerated iterations, reduced labor, upgraded supply chains, and improved carbon emissions and environmental pollution arising from traditional processes.

We feel delighted in every step in the development of metal additive manufacturing technology which also enhances our confidence about the future. For last ten years, BLT has been firmly expanding the application scope of metal additive manufacturing technology. In 2015, we formulated four directional strategy of being “large-sized”, “accurate”, “special” and “optimized” to expand the application scope of metal additive manufacturing in four aspects: size, accuracy, material and design optimization.

Committed to the concept of “making it work, making it affordable“, we continue to optimize our supply chain and take the initiative to reduce costs every year. Besides, we continue to optimize our printing efficiency through multi-laser, specifications of thicker layer, scanning algorithm and optimization and providing auxiliary equipment to get more users and industries to accept the “cost-efficiency” of metal additive technology.

We have been aimed at mass production since the very beginning. The metal additive manufacturing machines of the BLT brand was designed in consideration of the “four” strategies, i.e. modularized, digital, intelligent and unmanned, and step by step, we applied bus-technology, machine-learning, artificially intelligent, MES, RFID and other advanced technologies to make it easier for new fields and new participants to try and use metal additive manufacturing technology. We are convinced that additive manufacturing technology will “Make Easier Manufacturing, Make a Better World“!

Forerunners are always the first to see the future. Undoubtedly, metal additive manufacturing has entered the Era of Mass · Production!
