BLT has successfully obtained IATF 16949:2016 certification for the automotive industry quality management system. The certification scope covers the design and production of metal powders, marking another internationally recognized validation of the company’s quality management system.
Developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), IATF 16949 builds upon the ISO 9001 framework while incorporating automotive-sector-specific requirements. It serves as a fundamental entry criterion for suppliers seeking to partner with major global automakers.
Achieving this certification demonstrates that BLT’s end-to-end quality management system—spanning metal powder R&D to mass production—has earned the automotive industry’s official endorsement. This provides a critical qualification boost as the company accelerates its push into the new energy vehicle (NEV) component mass-production market.
BLT’s powder production line has maintained a robust quality management framework. The company secured ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) certifications in 2020, followed by AS9100 (Aerospace) and ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) certifications in 2021. In 2024, BLT further obtained SCS Global Services certification, reinforcing comprehensive oversight across the development, production, and inspection of metal powders. With the latest IATF 16949 accreditation, BLT now maintains full quality management coverage across three high-end industrial sectors: automotive, aerospace, and medical devices.
