On April 1, 2021, the Inaugural Meeting of the Metal Additive Manufacturing Technology and Talent Training Alliance was successfully held in Xi’an to jointly，in order to integrate the advantageous resources of the metal additive manufacturing industry and institutions in the new era, promote the training of talents in metal additive manufacturing technology, enhance the quality of university-enterprise cooperation and accelerate the high-quality development of the metal additive manufacturing industry.
According to the key work arrangements of the Alliance in 2021 as stated at the Inaugural Meeting, a Summer Teachers Training Program on Additive Manufacturing was held in Tianjin from July 18, 2021 to July 27, 2021. The Program was led by the Advanced Technical School affiliated to Tianjin University of Technology and Education and supported by BLT.
This Summer Teachers Training Program on Additive Manufacturing, following the Professional Construction and Textbook Design Seminar for Additive Manufacturing Technology held in Hangzhou in June, carried out the teachers’ training on the textbook of metal additive manufacturing. The training covers four aspects including structural design and inversion, additive manufacturing technology and application, ，machine operation and practice, and practice of part printing. There, the software and machine used in the two aspects of the Additive Manufacturing Technology and Application and Machine Operation and Practice respectively were the BuildPlanner Process Planning Software and BLT-A300 independently developed by BLT.
